THEY
-------Towhid Sagar
Human life is full of mystery. If you solve one puzzle,
another will appear. It can be called as an Ocean of good & bad fortune. We
are trapped in here. Each person is trying to get free from the evil jail of
fortune. Thirst of freedom is so strong that no one can simply erase it from
their mind. So, Once Upon a Time………….
There was a nice young little girl, lived in a beautiful
city of Bangladesh. She was living with her father, mother, brothers &
sisters and was passing her days with full of joys & happiness. Like the
clouds of autumn, she was restless. It seemed that happiness exist only for
her. There was no sign of sorrow in her life on that time. She wanted to be a
happy girl and she was a happy girl but there was something else on the mind of
God. Suddenly, her father retired and went back to the rural area along with
his family. The poor little girl was not mentally prepared to consume the
sudden quake and that’s why her father assured her about the return to the
city. But she realized it after few days and it was the beginning of her bad
luck. Her dreams and desires all wiped away. She became so alone and confused.
Her friends disappeared and fear replaced the place of joy. Rural leopards
wanted to taste the blood and flesh badly.
She was trying to save her from the polluted desires of others. But how
long a girl could protect her if she lost her mental ability to cope with the
society????
One day some leopard had succeeded to attain their desire.
God watched that scenery but remained silent. Society started to blame her though
she did nothing. Without proper judgment society dwellers punished the victim
but the leopards remain untouched. What a beautiful social order it is!!!! Misjudgment
and crude behavior crushed her. Time passed like the flow of water and things
changed. The girl became a young lady and married to a handsome man. Person of same quality receives equal
treatment from this cruel world. He also
lost his property to his step uncle who made a clean cheat to get his nephews
asset. It needs to be a great cheater in order to seize asset of an Orphan.
After marriage, the young lady thought that it might be the
end of her sorrow and became very happy. But it did not happen. Her new
relatives were not so friendly. They used to torture her instead of affection.
Her joy ended up before the beginning. Once a happy girl had became an unwanted
person of the society. After a few months a little girl born but her
sister-in-law was not so happy, they wanted a boy instead of a girl. Level of
torture had increased and that’s why she and her daughter became so weak. One
day her new born child died because of malnutrition. Mentally and physically
she became so weak. As a punishment her husband abandoned her. What an ignorant
society!!!! Destruction is unavoidable for the society where the judge &
judgment becomes oppressor. It is impossible to develop a society without
improving the morality of the society dwellers. After a long time Ice had
started to melt. Her husband called her back in order to make a new start. But
God wanted to twist the situation a little more. Her husband decided to go
abroad in search a job and to do that he sold his household. That was the
beginning of another journey of her life.
In search of luck, her husband decided to go Middle East.
But it is easy to abash a sitting duck. Her husband had fallen to the hand of a
fraud human trafficker. They had dropped him in Pakistan. On that time there
was a “Fish out of water” situation between Bangladesh & Pakistan. There
was no diplomatic relationship because of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. On There
he earned enough money but no means were available to send money to Bangladesh.
She was quite nervous about her husband. With the scarcity of money &
shelter she was in a deep sea. An action to bring happiness had become a means
of sorrow. And for the second time she went back to her father’s house. Life is
a journey which doesn’t have an end. Nothing can stop it. It doesn’t depend on
any single event. So, it won’t be an accident if she hopes for happiness again.
Many years passed, her husband was trying to communicate
with her family but failed, finally he decided to leave Pakistan. His journey
to Bangladesh was not an easy one. He had to cross India-Pakistan border near
Panjab and also the border of Bangladesh-India. He gathered all of his earnings
and stitched the money on his pant and started his journey. But the border
guards of India caught him during the crossing and seized all of his belongings
specially the money. It reminds a very common feature of Indian sub-continental
battalions. They had seized all of his belongings as bribe and released him. He
finally managed to come back to his country with empty pocket. Sometime human
beings become frustrated because of the true but cruel act of God and that had
happened to him. For that reason he decided to be a monk and continued that life
several months. After that the circle of life repeated itself and time passed
according to its own motion.
Her second child born she and her husband were living in her
father’s house permanently, because his uncle had taken the ownership of his
asset fraudulently. He started a new business on the local market. He did well
on that business and opened multiple department of his store. Things were
favorable but all on a sudden everything changed. Heads of the society imposed
a restriction over his business organization. Because of the pressure he closed
his business and went to the capital in search of job. He found a good job in a
RMG factory and his performance was satisfactory. They were passing a good time
and hoping for a better future. And it was expected that they would achieve
happiness in near future but God also played a game here. He (God) decided to
expand the duration of misery & that happened. Her husband’s income was
good but their relatives started to came to their house for shelter and job. For
fixing the gap between income and expenditure he started to take loan from
others. When the situation became worse their relatives leave them and they
fallen in the deep sea again. That was one of the greatest shocks to their
family.
It was the birth time of their third child when they poll
back to the village after losing the job and having a huge amount of debt over
their head. Their social status and confidence both started to diminish. They
lost everything. The possibility of financial freedom became a desert. There
was no reasonable solution at their hand. Few days past and her husband decided
to go abroad again. There is no disaster in the world which can destroy hope.
It is eternal and may be the actual life line of human being. It keeps us alive
and the base of all action is hope. We can’t deny and can’t avoid this. If we
reject the legacy of hope we will be nothing. This time he managed to go KSA as
a company worker leaving her wife and children’s to the trusted hand of his
father-in-law. He worked hard there but his income was not enough to meet all
the demands of his family. For that reason his wife had to take loan from other
people and paid the debt on the next month when he sent money to Bangladesh.
This give and take process continued for one and half decade till he returned
back to Bangladesh because of a serious accident in Saudi Arabia. That was the
official end of his abroad life. By that they became parents of three sons and
two daughters among them two daughters already had died because of
malnutrition.
That time they become old and weak enough to loss their
strength. Though they failed to make any real life property but they succeeded
in one sector. They had an investment which will turn their family to an
enlightened one. They taught their children enough to differentiate right and
wrong & encouraged them to take right decision and made them kind. The best
investment in the world is to educate one’s children’s. It will not only help
themselves but also the entire world. No property is as equal as the light of
education. The revenue of this investment will fall like the water of Niagara which
will quench the thirst of the society. They sacrificed their own happiness and
transferred it to their children and waited for the smile of their children.
The precious gift for mankind is “Parents”. This is the safest place for every
child. They started to give education as much as they can. In spite of acute
poverty and debt they managed to provide the necessary material to their
children. They had done a lot to them. They reduced their number and quantity
of meals but never forget to meet all the demands of their child. They sold
their every single piece of asset in order to educate them. This type of
sacrifice is so rare in this world. Their children are so lucky to be children
of such kind of parents.
Today, her husband works in a garment factory and she is a
house-wife. Their income is not enough to bear all the expense but they never
stop to invest in their children. They are sacrificing their every drop of
blood to make the children’s life better. Among their children two have
completed their graduation and two of them are studying in a famous college of
the capital and another one has become a successful local businessman. 35 years
of their struggle past but there is a smile of satisfaction in their face. Hoping,
that one day their children will be the most successful person of the society
and will regain the lost respect of the family. Parents, What a beautiful gift
of God! God has created the universe and settled human being to the earth where
they work hard to pass the critical exam of God. Thanks to our parents who are
helping us relentlessly to pass the test. Thanks for the sacrifice they have
made for their children. Children should not forget the love of parents towards
them. Parents sacrifice their whole life for the betterment of children.
Children can’t repay the debt but they can show respect to their parents and
stay with their parents so that their parents can leave the world peacefully.
Parents demand nothing from their children but they expect little love,
affection and respect from their beloved child. So, try to show some respect
and affection to them.
